On 4th-5th of April team members on behalf of all partners attended the Workshop that took place on the West University of Timisoara. The activities of the first day focused on presenting the progress each of the partners achieved in mapping the situation in each country (Greece, Italy, and Romania), within WP2. After the opening of the workshop, each of the three countries received a slot of one hour to present their methodological approach, the various issues encountered while collecting the data and the way they intended to use the data, in order to build the next project phases. The methodological approaches used by each partner had slight variations among each other, but kept the same main themes, throughout the investigation. So far, the data collection process relied mostly on qualitative approaches (interviews, life-stories, focus groups, journals, etc.). The assemblage of the three country-level reports into a common report for all partners was also taken into discussion.
The second day of the workshop focused on exploring the good practices encountered in each country, in order to create a locally-adjusted model for intervention, to be developed and implemented in the next project phases, within the common spaces activities. The potential challenges in implementing future activities were discussed and addressed. During the conclusions section, the partners planned the next activities within the project, focusing mainly on the common spaces in prison program and the trainings with the police officers (that will follow shortly).
