In early October, the first phase of interaction between prospective teachers -students of the University of Thessaly- and young prisoners, was completed, resulting to a performance open to other prisoners. The performance was planned for last June, however, due to reasons of force majeure linked to the particularities of the prison environment, the performance had to be delayed. Additional workshops were held in the prison, from the beginning of the 2019-2020 academic year in order to prepare the show. The performance, which took place on November 24, 2019, featured dramatized linguistic and mathematical literacy activities, involving young Roma prisoners and prospective teachers/students that participated in interactive workshops. It was attended by around 30 young prisoners and 15-20 members of the prison staff, such as the Director, social workers, teachers, and prison staff.
